Bret Adams MPT, Cert MDT, ATC, CSCS
Originally from Boise, Bret completed his undergraduate degree at Brigham Young University. After receiving his Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science he earned a Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy at Idaho State University. In 2002, he opened Idaho Spine & Sports Physical Therapy. Bret is specialty trained and certified in the McKenzie method of spine care. In addition he is sports medicine trained and maintains a certification in athletic training. His outside interests include mountain and road bicycling, skiing, racquetball and trying to keep up with his 3 children.

Ellen Shumate, DPT
After being raised in Seattle, WA, Ellen received her Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science from Washington State University, then went on to attend the University of St. Augustine in Florida and earn her Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy. Currently she is pursuing her manual therapy certification from University of St. Augustine. Ellen enjoys volleyball, traveling and hiking.
